چکیده
Biogas production from manure is of particular value in regard lowering greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing nutrient re-circulation. However, the relatively low energy content characteristics often result degradation efficiency, development operating strategies required to improve biogas yield economic benefits. In this study, potential enhance performance two full-scale plants with cattle manure, mono-digestion or combined poultry was investigated. Four continuously fed laboratory-scale reactors were operated sets two, which temperature one reactor each set increased 37–42°C 52°C. The increase capacity thereafter assessed by increasing organic loading rate (OLR), ca 3 5 kg volatile solids (VS)/ m day. processes evaluated both chemical microbiological parameters, addition, residual methane (RMP) measured evaluate risk digestate. results showed that could be changed mesophilic themophilic without major problems a similar shift microbial community profile typical thermophilic community, e.g., an relative abundance phylum Firmicutes. co-digesting caused slight accumulation fatty acids (2 g/l) reduced specific production, most likely due ammonia inhibition (0.4–0.7 g NH /l). Still, during operation at higher OLR, as compared slightly investigated processes. OLR decreased overall degree all processes, positive correlation RMP values. Chemical analyses suggested high values (40–98 Nml gVS ?1 ) related cellulose, hemicellulose, acid enriched Conclusively, load can but less efficient risks for storage handling

In order to obtain basic design criteria for anaerobic digestion of a mixture of poultry manure and wheat straw, the effects of different temperatures and organic loading rates on the biogas yield and methane contents were evaluated. Since poultry manure is a poor substrate, in term of the availability of the nutrients, external supplementation of carbon has to be regularly performed, in order ...
